Wild on the West Coast
Following the success of Wild in Africa, Ben and Kate travelled to the Californian coast to report on the marine mammals and sealife and the scientists and volunteers who work alongside. Highlights include Great White sharks in the Farallon Islands, 20 miles West of San Fransisco and the work of MBARI, the underwater research vessel studying the creatures of the deep in the Mariana Trench. 10 x 1 hours BBC2.

Ben leads a team of would be explorers on the journey of a lifetime. Expeditions have included trekking up mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest mountain in Africa. A trek to the lost city of Choquiqurao deep in the Peruvian Andes. A two week journey through primary rainforest in Guyana, South America in search of the tallest free falling waterfall on earth, Kaiteur falls, and a journey across the frozen wastelands of Svalbard in the Arctic Circle. Countryfile
Ben has worked on Countryfile alongside John Craven for nearly seven years reporting on all things rural. During this time Ben has taken part in a number of events including the Stinging nettle eating championships, world lawn mower racing, conker championships, oyster eating, worm charming, Tough Guy and the Man vs Horse race. He has reported from dozens of islands, including Shetland, Islay, Bardsay, Barra and the Falklands.
Crufts 2006
Ben’s passion for dogs make him the perfect host for the BBC’s coverage of the ‘greatest dog show on earth’. Ben joins Clare Balding and Matt Baker to cover the latest four legged news from the NEC in Birmingham BBC2.
One Man and His Dog
One Man and His Dog is a British institution. OMAHD recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. Sheep dog trialling is an art and a way of life for many country folk. Ben has fronted the series since 2003. BBC 2.
Wild in Africa
Ben and Kate Humble reported from Namibia in Southwestern Africa for this series about the wildlife and the people who protect it. Highlights include Crocodile measuring in the Caprivi Strip and Shark tagging on the Skeleton coast. 30 x 1 hours BBC 2.
Through Hell and High Water
The series followed Ben and James Cracknell as they attempted to row 3000miles across the atlantic ocean in a 21 foot wooden rowing boat. The series followed the trials and tribulations as the two struggled with the elements. Pushed psychologically and emotiaonally to the limit, Ben and James survived hurricanes, the loss of their water maker, a capsize and loneliness. They hallucinated, wept, fought, played games, grew beards and nursed blisters. 5 x 30 mins BBC1.
The Sand Marathon
The series followed the trials and tribulations of Ben, as he took part in the Marathon Des Sables, a six day, 150 mile race across the Sahara desert. Competitors must run with all their equipment in what is often described as the toughest footrace on earth. Ben and Inca set off on the trail of the UK’s Living Legends for this six part series. From the Mermaids and Wizards to Nessie and Vampires, Ben investigation took him from Transylvania in search of Dracula to Dublin in search of banshees.

Ben reports on a number of local news stories including the tale of the Horse whisperer and the world microlight championships.
BBC Sport Relief Celebrity Boxing
Ben took on former Eastenders actor Sid Owen in a three round bout in aid of Sport Relief. Ben was coached by Jim McDonnell and Frank Bruno, Ben won the match with 68% of the public vote.
