<p>Ben has officially taken over from actor Brian Blessed as the President of the Council for National Parks. The handover took place in the area proposed for inclusion in the much anticipated and long awaited South Downs National Park. The Western Wield, a area of outstanding natural beauty has been recommended for exclusion from any future National park due to the fact is is a predominantly sandy landscape rather than than chalk that characterise the South Downs.</p>

The race will be the first ever undertaken to the South Pole and will push the teams to their limits as they race to the bottom of the world. The pair are currently searching for a third team member to join them on their record attempt to the South Pole.</p>
