How did you prepare for your Atlantic row?
Training to row the Atlantic is a mental and physical challenge. I began nearly six months ahead of time, though six years might have been more useful. I used my Concept 2 rowing machine twice a day for two hour shifts pulling between around 1.50. I travelled around Namibia for much of my training which meant early starts in the dry heat and sadly little open water training. It is important to bulk up before the race as the average trans Atlantic rower loses two stone or more.
