Ben and James Cracknell have selected their third team member to join them in the Amundsen Omega 3 South Pole Race 2008. Ed Coats, a Bristol based doctor will join them on the 470 nautical mile race across Antarctica in December. You can follow all their trials and tribulations at www.teamqinetiq.com.

Ben will be heading off to Latin America for a new series, Extreme Andes, which will see Ben trekking from the Ecuator to the tropic of Capricorn by way of the Andes. He will be leading four seperate teams on this gruelling journey. The series will TX sometime in the new year.

The BBC series Back to Taransay will TX the week beginning July 28th and will look back at various archive footage from the original series Castaway 2000.

July 27th marks the 20th anniversary of BBC’s Countryfile. Look out for the special commemarative issue of Countryfile magazine and a very special hour long programme form the whole team including a behind the scenes tour with Ben.
