New series of Extreme Dreams begins January 14th at 6.30pm BBC2

A brand new series of the hit Extreme Dreams with Ben Fogle begins in the new year with Ben leading five fresh teams to some of the most extreme enviroments on earth. Explorer Benedict Allen and naturalist Charlotte Uhlenbroek join Ben’s panel to choose team members during a gruelling selection process in the Brecon Beacon’s of Wales. The series will run each weeknight for six weeks on BBC2 at 6.30pm.
New series Animal Park begins January 6th at 6pm BBC2

Ben and Kate Humble return for a seventh series introducing a whole new cast of animal characters at Longleat safari park including three new Tigers.
Ben becomes President of the Council for National Parks

Ben has officially taken over from actor Brian Blessed as the President of the Council for National Parks. The handover took place in the area proposed for inclusion in the much anticipated and long awaited South Downs National Park. The Western Wield, a area of outstanding natural beauty has been recommended for exclusion from any future National park due to the fact is is a predominantly sandy landscape rather than than chalk that characterise the South Downs.

Ben successfully completed the Great North Run 2007 in 1 hour and 43 minutes to raise money for WWF.

Ben awarded Honorary doctorate of Letters from Portsmouth University

Ben has been awarded an Honorary degree from his old university, Portsmouth as recognition to his services to sport, television and charity. Ben was awarded an Honorary doctorate of Letters at a ceremony in July.
